This eight week intense summer challenge is not for the faint of heart. This challenge is for Catholic women who want to get FIT this summer while growing in Holiness. Let’s face it, getting healthy and growing in holiness go hand-in-hand and it’s always more fun and motivating to do it with others. Not to mention that a little friendly competition never hurts either!

Challenges
Last Sunday was great...the eagerness and energy to get started with this challenge. I was able to get things checked off one after the other. During the week, with working, it was much harder but I expected Saturday would be easy. It wasn't. I got a lot done but not toward this. Then I got on the scale this morning and only had lost 1.5 pounds. Since I had gone from exercising .5-1 hour a week to 5 hours this week and had been watching what I eat much more closely I had expected better results. I know... 1.5 pounds is a good, healthy weight loss for 1 week but still... I know... weight can fluctuate up to 2 pounds in a single day. Oh well... we'll see what the total is after 8 weeks and what the total inches lost are. Okay, I'm done whining. :-(

There is a good reason for doing this for 8 weeks... we often tend to actually GAIN weight when we first start because we are introducing new things to our body, new foods, exercising new muscles, etc. Muscle weights more than fat! So, keep in mind, it takes about a month or so before our body is ready to trust these new lifestyle changes and start loosing solid weight!
